About Keyyard

Welcome to my corner of the internet! I’m Keyyard, and honestly, I am not a writer, blogger or whatever. But here we are, so yea let me introduce myself. I’m a Developer for Minecraft Bedrock Edition, I do code as a hobby, and meanwhile, I also enjoy playing music, writing, and exploring various technologies.

How I got here

My journey started with an old iPad and way too much curiosity about how things work. I’ve always been fascinated by understanding systems, so I jailbroke my iPad and just started editing some files by finding numbers, patterns and hacked the games!

The curiosity led me to do more. I started sharing my hacks to iosgods back then. After that, I wanted to make even more things, starting with Minecraft Maps - back when it required a lot of effort to export and import stuff.

And then add-ons came along! Add-ons were this new way to enhance gameplay in Minecraft Bedrock Edition (PE back then) and I was absolutely hooked.

From tinkering to actually building things

Started with just making simple modifications, but I eventually learned how to make more and more complex systems. Shout out to solvedDev, when I was just a kid starting out, he was the one who inspired me, taught me how logic works, and even helped me fix my code. I learned to make custom items by replacing unused IDs of flowers, making custom-like mobs by using variants… It was a tough journey, but I gained a lot of love and attention from the Redstone Mechanic Addon, made with theEnderface.

All of this was just because I loved the original Redstone Mechanics Addon, and I just tagged the creator on Twitter, saying “hey, I can add this to your addon, dm?” - and there we go!

After that, I started making more and more add-ons for myself, for community, and finally for the Minecraft Official Marketplace. I’ve been working with some of the best developers in the community, and I’ve learned so much from them. Thanks to everyone who’s been there - shout out to Ash, Trea, and many more!

What I’m up to now

Now I do Minecraft add-ons as my main job, and I love every moment of it. In my free time, I enjoy coding other things like web development, app development, and exploring technologies like AI and machine learning. I also love to write about my experiences, thoughts, and the things I learn along the way.

My other interests

Code, of course. I code as a hobbyist - I love coding and learning new things. There’s always something new to figure out, and honestly that never gets old.

Workout. Sweating helps me feel better, both physically and mentally. I love hitting the gym, doing some cardio, push-ups pull-ups. It helps me feel less useless when I have nothing to do and too stressed to work, or just feeling lazy to use my brain for anything.

Playing Guitar & Piano is another passion of mine. I love music, and I play guitar and piano in my free time. Usually I play music to relieve stress, clear my head, or just because it feels good.

Reading books, well mostly about productivity, self-improvement, and some stories. Reading is a way to gain other perspectives for me. From that I can observe how others think, see how they solve problems, and learn from their experiences. It’s like getting access to someone else’s thought process, which is pretty cool.

Writing, I write both physically and digitally. Writing things down helps me organize my thoughts, let me see myself more clearly, and remember things. I usually write in my notebooks - work notes, tasks, ideas, and my thoughts. On my digital garden (this place), I write and share things in various topics that I find fascinating. And yes, I’m that selfish to just write about what I love, haha.

Chess is another interest of mine. I enjoy playing chess as a way to challenge myself and improve my strategic thinking skills. It’s not really relaxing to be honest lol, but I love the challenge and the mental workout it provides.

Where you can find me

What drives me

I always admire people who never stop trying. I believe people who never stop trying will eventually succeed, no matter how long it takes. That’s kind of my philosophy - keep going, keep learning, keep building.

I ain’t perfect I tryna learn tho. You can read more about this kind of thinking in my perspectives on growth and life skills.

What you’ll find here

This blog is my personal space to document my journey, thoughts, and experiences. I write about perspectives on life and growth, share my approach to writing and creativity, and occasionally dive into coding and tech stuff.

I write about what genuinely fascinates me - from the technical challenges of Minecraft development to broader reflections on creativity, productivity, and personal growth. If you find value in any of it, that’s awesome. If not, that’s cool too - I’m mainly writing this stuff for myself anyway, haha.

Thanks for taking the time to learn more about me. I hope you find something useful here, and feel free to hit me up with any thoughts or feedback - everything is welcome! (I love small talk too!)

Thanks for being here with me on this journey.
